The famous Emily Morgan hotel in Alamo Plaza is said to be haunted by patients who were nursed in the building when it was still a hospital. For the first 50 years of the building’s operation, it served as the Medical Arts Building, offering an array of healthcare services to citizens of San Antonio. As such, paranormal investigators and local historians believed that some of the resident ghosts were former patients who passed away during their time in the hospital.
Littlefield House is a historic mansion located in Austin, Texas. It was completed in 1893 for Civil War veteran George W. Littlefield, a Confederate Army officer who went on to build his cattle range empire across Texas and Kansas. Littlefield was also known for being the regent of the University of Texas. The popular haunted room 525 is said to be the spot where two brides committed suicide on the same day, 20 years apart. The first bride reportedly hanged herself after the young groom had cancelled the wedding which was supposed to take place in Hotel Driskill that very night. The second bride was said to have committed suicide while on her honeymoon.
The Menger Hotel opened in February 1859 by William and Mary Menger at San Antonio’s Alamo Plaza Historic District. The two-story hotel housed 50 rooms and served as an important rest stop on the Chrisholm Trail for cattle drovers and cattlemen.
