The legend behind Room 1252 lies the tragic story of Adele Langer, a Czech-Jewish refugee who entered America with her two sons, Jan Misha and Karel Tommy, on a six-month visa. Adele had previously planned to reunite with her husband Karel Langer at Congress Plaza Hotel. The Langer family were owners of the $1.5 million (equivalent of $29.8 million in 2021) Hynek Marprles textile mills in Prague but had to escape the country during World War II to escape the persecution of Jews by the Nazi.

Haunted Logan Inn in New Hope | Pennsylvania

Room 6, said to be haunted by Emily Lutz, have been widely recognized by staffs and guests of the hotel as a ‘hot spot’ for paranormal activity. Emily, son of former owner Carl Lutz, was said to have passed away in room 6 due to old age.

Haunted Room 3327 at Hotel Del Coronado

The legend of the mysterious woman dates back to November 24, 1892, when she arrived at San Diego and checked in to room 3327 at Hotel Del Coronado under the name Lottie A. Barnard. Kate, then pregnant with a child, had agreed to meet with her lover at the hotel before heading out to the streets of San Diego to swindle unsuspecting men. However, days passed and her lover never showed up. Desperation soon turned into despair, and Kate did the unthinkable. She was found dead five days later (after checking into the hotel) at an outdoor stairway leading to Coronado Beach, with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

As of 2021, Robert the Doll is 117 years old, making it one of the oldest haunted doll in the United States. The toy was a birthday gift from the grandfather of Robert Eugene Otto, an author and painter, who purchased it in 1904 while on a trip in Germany. An alternate version of the legend says that a young girl of Bahamian descent gave Otto the doll when he was 4-years-old as a friendship gift, albeit a cursed one.

Haunted History of the Alaskan Hotel in Juneau, Alaska

The history of Alaskan Hotel & Bar dates back to 1913 when it was opened by McCloskey brothers, James and John McCloskey, as well as Jules B. Caro. The trio were veteran miners who had struck during the Klondike Gold Rush (also known as the Yukon Gold Rush) from 1896 to 1899. During the grand opening of the hotel, the owners reportedly tied the front door keys of the hotel to a helium-filled balloon and released it, declaring that the hotel would never close.
