Given its three century of turbulent history, paranormal happening are almost a guarantee. The most commonly sighted paranormal activity is the moving of objects. In particular, books have been spotted moving by itself across the rooms. Some books have also been found opened and placed on the desk, as if someone had been reading it.

The Hauntings of Billy at Copper Queen Hotel

A young ghost by the name Billy is one of many resident ghost at the haunted Copper Queen Hotel. The most popular story says that Billy is a young boy who died in the early 20th century at the nearby San Pedro River. it is said that his parents (or relatives) were once long-time employees of the the hotel, and that Billy had came back to for them. Another version of the legend suggest that Billy, then 8 years old, drown in one of the room’s bath tub. To cover up their wrongdoing, the Billy’s parent allegedly made up a lie that he had drown at the nearby river.

Ghost of Mercer William House Museum

Many who have visited Mercer William House believe that the mansion is now haunted by those who have passed away on the property. Some of the ghostly activities reported include disembodied voices, large heavy footsteps, and doors slamming shut on their own. Neighbours of the property have also said that music can occasionally be heard in the house; former owner Jim Williams was known to have thrown lavish, wild parties while staying at the historic property.

Is the Arlington Hotel Haunted?

Multiple paranormal sightings and experiences by guests of the hotel have concluded that the Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa is indeed haunted. Many who have spent the night at the hotel have reported paranormal happenings such as ghostly laughters and disembodied voices. It is claimed that Room 666 was deliberately renamed to Room 667 as guests have reported numerous strange activities in the room. The piano at lobby bar is also said to play by itself after midnight; it has since been removed to avoid causing any unnecessary hysteria.

The Deadly Gallows at Old Idaho State Penitentiary

Prior to the construction of the Gallows room at Cell House 5, executions of inmate was carried out at the penitentiary’s rose garden. Apart from being the test garden for rose company Jackon & Perkins, the garden was used for the periodic executions of inmates. From 1901 to 1926, a total of six inmates where hung at rose garden. The wooden gallows was eventually torn down in 1934 by the penitentiary warden after it was deemed to be a ‘bad influence’ to inmates.
