The Haunted Room 313 at Bullock Hotel

Room 313 is said to be the most haunted room in Bullock Hotel. Guests who have stayed in the room have reported numerous paranormal activities including knocks on the door, unexplainable voices, and bedsheets being pulled. However, there were no reported deaths or incidents in room 313 that could have contributed to the paranormal events.

Is 17Hundred90 Inn Haunted?

Over the years, local residents and visitors of the historic inn have all claimed to have witnessed and experienced paranormal activities in the tavern and B&B. Three spirits are said to haunt the 200 year old inn: Anne in Room 204, a young boy named Thaddeus in the tavern, and an unnamed spirit in the kitchen. All in all, the various accounts and evidence from guests of the inn have made the famous 17Hundred90 Inn one of the oldest haunted property in the city of Savannah.

Ghost Photos at the Haunted Sorrel Weed House

In 2016, travel writer David Duran captured the ghostly image of a man during a night tour of the fabled Sorrel Weed House. The photo, which was taken in front of the dining room mirror, reflected a man in long hair and a white shirt. It was later made known that the man was not part of the tour group, and that he was not seen by other visitors when the group was in the dining area.

Is Oak Alley Plantation Haunted?

Based on accounts from visitors and staffs of Oak Alley Plantation, it can be concluded that the 191-year-old plantation is indeed haunted by ghosts of its former owners.

Ghost of Hotel Monte Vista Room 306

The haunting history of room 306 dates back to the 1940s when the city’s Red Light District existed just a couple of blocks from the hotel. The legend says that two prostitutes were brought to room 306 and murdered before being thrown off the window to the street below. Today, staffs of the hotel claimed that the two prostitutes never left, and that their spirits continues to haunt room 306 and the hallways on the third floor.

Tours to New London Ledge Lighthouse | Connecticut

The most infamous story regarding New London Ledge Lighthouse (also known as Ledge Light) is perhaps the ghost of Ernie. Legend says that Ernie, a former keeper of the lighthouse, committed suicide on the island after a squabble with her girlfriend. According to a spiritual session by two psychics Roger and Nancy Pile, Ernie had killed himself by cutting his throat with a fishing knife before falling into the ocean from the roof of the tower. His body was never found.

Why Did the Historic Sloss Furnace Close Down?

The Sloss Furnace halted its operation and closed in 1971 as new regulations such as the 1970 U.S. Clean Air Act had forced many of the older and less-efficient smelting factories to shut down. This was compounded by the stiff competition from foreign companies such as Japanese plants which exported steel and iron to America at a substantially lower cost than those locally produced.

Haunting Deaths at Poinsett Bridge, Greenville

A haunting legend tells of several masons who died during the construction of Poinsett Bridge. While most of their death were due to malaria or accidents, great efforts was done to cover up their death. It is said that these men were buried either under or within the bridge to save time and cover up the incidents. Another story alleges that a female slave was hung (or beheaded as some sources have suggested) under Poinsett bridge for failing to obey her master. However, there were no official records of these events, suggesting that they may be nothing more than a hoax

Is Franklin Castle Open to the Public?

Franklin Castle is currently owned by Oh Dear Productions, a limited liability company. As such, the mansion is a private property and is not open to the public for visits. While the Franklin Castle have been rezoned to allow it to be converted into a three-family dwelling, the exact future of the property remains unclear. Meanwhile, it is currently occupied by several tenants including local historian William Krejci and records company Norton Records.

Driskill Hotel Haunted Room 525

The popular haunted room 525 is said to be the spot where two brides committed suicide on the same day, 20 years apart. The first bride reportedly hanged herself after the young groom had cancelled the wedding which was supposed to take place in Hotel Driskill that very night. The second bride was said to have committed suicide while on her honeymoon.
